Around 175,000 people line streets for annual Manchester Day celebration

Huge crowds gathered for the city’s biggest annual party of the year, 14th June 2015 with a mile-long parade snaking through the city bringing the theme to life. A staggering 175,000 people lined the city centre streets to celebrate the Manchester Day event in style. With thousands of volunteers helping to make the event one of the best days of the year. Huge crowds gathered for the city’s biggest annual party of the year, with a mile-long parade snaking through the city; awash with fantastic floats, amazing costumes and magical musicians bringing the theme to life. More than 90 community groups weaved their floats through the streets to the delight of thousands of families who watched on in amazement. This was our first time participating in the event.
