Back to School Family Fun Day

Back to School Family Fun Day is a community event reaching out to those in financial difficulty, isolated or vulnerable residents in the Moss Side, Rusholme and Hulme wards of Manchester. During the event we will provide a range of free activities, but most importantly will be providing families with essential school items such as stationary and uniforms. We will also invite partners who can offer financial advice and support to families. The event will support residents like the elderly and single parents looking after young people on their own who need extra support. The event is intergenerational and aims to bring people together both old and young, from different communities. We hope to improve the cohesion in our neighbourhood through this activity and create opportunities for young people to thrive and realise their full potential. The event is a partnership between local community residents and the Moss Side Resident Association, we will also be working with other local groups who focus on reducing poverty and supporting those in need.  The event will be held in the Recreation Park, Moss Side on the 1^st September 2018, 12pm -8pm. The event will be open to residents in the Moss Side, Rusholme and Hulme wards of Manchester.
